The theme for this segment of our quarterly contest is
"Summer at the Lake."
Summer is that time of year when everyone has special memories of being at the lake. Grab your camera and capture anything that depicts the Summer fun that only can be experienced at your favorite lake.
The FIRST PLACE photo as selected by a panel of local professionals and business owners will receive a $50 gift certificate and the
SECOND PLACE photo will win a $25 gift certificate to
Images will be judged on content, composition and the abilty to capture and portray all that is special about time spent on or near the water in the Summer. Submit your digital photo(s) or scans of tradtional format photos from June 1st, 2009 until midnight on Laborl Day, 2009. The winner will be announced shortly after labor day. Submitted photos will be posted on this website as space allows. Read the entire contest rules below and then e-mail your photos to bbieski@ptd.net or click the link to submit a photo.

Photo Eligibility
Anyone is welcome to submit their own original photographs that convey the message of the theme "Summer at the Lake". Be sure to include your name, address and a contact phone number along with your e-mailed photograph so that the winner can be notified.
Photo Formats
Entries must be color digital images or digital scans of color prints. Images must be in natural color. Black and white, sepia tone, and duotone images are not eligible. Images should be submitted in JPG format. Please be considerate to website space allocations and keep file sizes less than 1 MB per image.
Photographer/Copyright
Entries must be submitted by the original photographer. Do not submit a photo taken by someone other than yourself. You must be the sole owner of the copyright of any image submitted. Your submission of the photo is your guarantee that you are the author and copyright holder of the photo and that you authorize Wallenpaupack Living to post your work on our website.
Image Modifications:
Minor digital enhancements are permitted, but images that have been significantly modified or appear unnatural will be disqualified. Judges reserve the right to disqualify any photo deemed to have inappropriate content or an unacceptable level of modification as outlined below.
Not Permitted:
- No borders or frames may be added to images.
- No watermarks, signatures, or copyright notices may be added to images. Images will be displayed with the photographer's name.
- Adding or replacing elements in an image is not permitted.
- Artistic filters are not permitted.
Permitted Modifications:
- Images may be resized as long as the aspect ratio is maintained
- Red-eye removal and spot editing
- One-step enhancement (such as "AutoFix", "QuickFix", "Auto Levels", etc.)
- Use of filters to sharpen, soften, blur, despeckle, or remove noise.
- Use of corrective functions to improve the natural appearance of the image, such as levels, contrast, brightness, curves, intensity, tone, hue, saturation, lightness, value, color balance, and tint.
